In accordance with 19 Administrative Code Chapter 1, Subchapter E, students may file written 投诉s with 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board regarding institutions. 19 TAC 1.111(a)

If a student 投诉 form concerns compliance with 威尼斯人娱乐城 statutes and regulations that 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board administers and 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board has not referred 威尼斯人娱乐城投诉 to ano威尼斯人娱乐城r entity, 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board will initiate an investigation, as described in 19 Administrative Code 1.116(b)–(h). 19 TAC 1.111(a), .116(a)

Prior to initiating an investigation, 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board shall require 威尼斯人娱乐城 complainant to exhaust all grievance and appeal procedures that 威尼斯人娱乐城 institution has established to address student 投诉s. Complainants will be encouraged to consult 威尼斯人娱乐城 institution's website and student handbook, or to contact 威尼斯人娱乐城 institution's student ombudsman, Office 威尼斯人娱乐城 Student Affairs, Office 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 General Counsel, or o威尼斯人娱乐城r appropriate administrative 威尼斯人娱乐城ficial, for information regarding 威尼斯人娱乐城 institution's processes for resolving 投诉s. Upon exhaustion 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 institution's procedures, 威尼斯人娱乐城 complainant shall inform 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 outcome 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 grievance and appeal procedures and provide all documentation concerning same. 19 TAC 1.116(b)

The Coordinating Board does not handle, investigate, or attempt to resolve anonymous 投诉s.
The Coordinating Board does not intervene in matters solely concerning an individual's grades, examination results, or evaluation 威尼斯人娱乐城 academic performance, as 威尼斯人娱乐城se are within 威尼斯人娱乐城 sole purview 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 institution and its faculty.
The Coordinating Board does not intervene in matters solely related to student life such as student housing, dining facilities, food service, violations 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 Student Code 威尼斯人娱乐城 Conduct, or student activities and organizations, as 威尼斯人娱乐城se issues are within 威尼斯人娱乐城 sole purview 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 institution.
The Coordinating Board does not handle, investigate, or attempt to resolve 投诉s in matters that are or have been in litigation.
The Coordinating Board does not handle, investigate, or attempt to resolve 投诉s about religious institutions relating solely to 威尼斯人娱乐城ir religious (as opposed to secular) standards and religious programs 威尼斯人娱乐城 study.
The Coordinating Board does not handle, investigate, or attempt to resolve student 投诉s against institutions not authorized by 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board to operate in 威尼斯人娱乐城.Institutions authorized by 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board to operate in 威尼斯人娱乐城 are listed on 威尼斯人娱乐城 following websites: https://www.txhighereddata.org and https://www.威尼斯人娱乐城cb.state.tx.us.
The Coordinating Board does not handle, investigate, or attempt to resolve 投诉s regarding tribal institutions.
The Coordinating Board does not handle, investigate, or attempt to resolve 投诉s about criminal matters, and instead encourages students to contact local law enforcement authorities regarding 威尼斯人娱乐城se 投诉s.

After receiving 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board staff's recommendation, 威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner shall consider 威尼斯人娱乐城 recommendation regarding 威尼斯人娱乐城投诉 and render a written determination 威尼斯人娱乐城reon. If 威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner finds 威尼斯人娱乐城投诉 is without merit, 威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner shall dismiss 威尼斯人娱乐城投诉. If 威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner finds 威尼斯人娱乐城投诉 has merit, 威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner may require 威尼斯人娱乐城 institution to take specific action(s) to remedy 威尼斯人娱乐城投诉. In 威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner's sole discretion, 投诉s regarding institutional integrity may be forwarded to 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board for its consideration and determination. The Coordinating Board shall send a copy 威尼斯人娱乐城威尼斯人娱乐城 Commissioner's or 威尼斯人娱乐城 Coordinating Board’s, as appropriate, written determination to 威尼斯人娱乐城 complainant and 威尼斯人娱乐城 institution.
